A visit to the museum Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin
Yesterday I was at the New National Gallery Museum (Neuenationalgalerie) in Berlin and it’s the first time I’ve been there since its reopening. The museum was closed for renovations from 2015 until last summer 2021. The current temporary exhibition is by American artist Barbara Kruger, known for her political and feminist art installations and texts.
The installation, which occupies the entire main floor of the building, runs through August 28, 2022.
On the first floor, there is an exhibition of art from 1900 to 1945, starting from the idea of how the cities and the rapid changes of the early 20th century influenced the various art movements of the 20th century. As time progresses, the impact of two world wars on the European continent is reflected in the art of several generations of artists. The exhibition includes important works of German Expressionism, Cubism, Dadaism and Surrealism, among others.

Ayer estuve en el Museo Nueva Galería Nacional (Neuenationalgalerie) de Berlín y es la primera vez que voy desde su reapertura. El museo estuvo cerrado por remodelaciones desde 2015 hasta el verano 2021.
La exposición temporal actual es de la artista estadounidense Barbara Kruger, conocida por sus instalaciones de arte y textos políticos y feministas. La instalación que ocupa toda la planta principal del edificio, estará hasta el 28 de agosto 2022.
En la planta baja, hay una exposición de arte de 1900 hasta 1945, partiendo de la idea de como las ciudades y los cambios rápidos de inicios de siglo XX influenciaron los variados movimientos artísticos del SXX. Conforme se avanza en el tiempo, queda reflejado el impacto de dos guerras mundiales en el continente europeo y en el arte de varias generaciones de artistas. En la exposición se pueden obras importantes del expresionismo alemán, cubismo, dadaísmo y surrealismo entre otros.
