Last Friday, the exhibition of the Indian photographer Dayanita Singh opened at the Gropius Bau in Berlin and I was there.
The intersection between photography, the love of books and the quests to make photography more accessible to the public, mobile museums/archives emerge, like a big book. If photography circulates easily through books, how can it do so in space. That is why Dayanita has created her mobile museums where a large archive of her work can be found and can change shape depending on the space.
In the exhibition, which runs until July 7, 2022 at the Gropius Bau, you can have access to various series of documentary photography, portraits, architecture that the photographer has made in more than 40 decades of work.
Musical tours, family scenes, a series of trans people, boys and girls in India in the 20th and 21st century. Some intimate scenes are memorable.
I was fortunate to be able to meet the artist and portray her.

El viernes pasado inauguró la muestra de la fotógrafa de la India Dayanita Singh en el Gropius Bau de Berlín.

La intersección entre fotografía, el amor por los libros y las búsquedas de hacer más accesible la fotografía al público, surgen museos/archivos móviles, como un libro grande. Si la fotografía circula fácilmente a través de los libros, como puede hacerlo en el espacio. Para eso Dayanita ha creado sus museos móviles donde se encuentra un gran archivo de sus trabajos y que puede cambiar de forma según el espacio.
En la muestra que estará hasta el 7 de julio 2022 en el Gropius Bau, se puede tener acceso a varias series de fotografía documental, retratos, de arquitectura que la fotógrafa ha realizado en más de 40 décadas de trabajo. Tours musicales, escenas familiares, una serie de personas trans, niños y niñas en la India del sXX y XXI. Algunas escenas íntimas son memorables.
Tuve la suerte de poder encontrar a la artista y retratarla.
